I
long pondered over whether or not to include the obligatory "artist's
comment", but then remembered how much I enjoy reading the
thoughts and motivation of countless other creative individuals
here on the web, while admiring their work. So, thus it be:
Raw and free-flowing creativity is itself a uniquely personal
and therefore (in most cases) instrinsically uncompetitive ability--probably
one of the few on earth to be so. Since this true "free-flow"
is a reflection of one's soul, it is the perfect paradox in which
we witness physical manifestations of how another human being's
life is changing and thus also changed by the work itself, in
some small or infinite way. |

We
may not like it... we may love it. Either way, I think artists
and/or those with an appreciation of art, be it painting, sculpture,
martial arts, music, writing, and all within the realm, enjoy
a great respect and common bond that goes far beyond our understanding
of this beautiful creative drive, and of this bizarre world.
Diving head first into music at age 4, my life has been devoted
to not only writing, recording and performing music, but anything
and everything I could physically rearrange from "nothing
to something", or even "something to something else",
as the human mood dictated.
The last few years, though, have been that of great exploration
for me. The shakuhachi, both playing and building, has now become
a focal point in my life, sidelining most other forms of art.
The shakuhachi portion of my website has just been completely
remodeled and is located here.
Thanks for reading!
